His Excellency Dahir Hassan Abdi, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the United States, delivered the keynote address at the Global Somali Awards 2025, an event that brought together Somali changemakers, innovators, and leaders from across the globe.

The Somali community in the DMV area gathered in a show of unity and pride to welcome the new Somali Ambassador to the United States, Ambassador Dahir Hassan. The event brought together a diverse group of attendees, including former Somali ministers, esteemed scholars, and respected community elders, reflecting the richness and strength of the Somali diaspora.

In an outreach to the Somali American community, Ambassador Dahir Hassan Arab and his delegation were warmly welcomed upon their arrival in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During his visit, Ambassador Dahir engaged with various segments of the Somali community, aiming to strengthen ties, share updates on Somalia’s progress, and discuss future collaborations that benefit both Somali Americans and the people of Somalia.
